Hello and welcome to my cosy craft room. Here you'll find
my patterns, tutorials, tips and tricks to make your projects perfect.
My name is Lynne Rowe and I'm a knit and crochet fanatic (some would say obsessed!!). I can't imagine a day without picking up my needles or hook and creating something fab and funky.
Knit and crochet designing is now my full time job and I love it. My aim is to design fun and quirky knit and crochet projects - perfect for using up odd balls of yarn and reducing wastage. My previous environmental career is still close to my heart and I reuse and recycle yarns as much as possible, whilst keeping my waste yarns to a minimum. You can find my "Yarn Stash Diaries" in Crochet Now Magazine, where I write a monthly column, together with a simple stash-busting project.
I design for many UK knitting magazines and publications, including Let's Knit, Let's Get Crafting, Knit Today, Inside Crochet, Woman's Weekly and Homemaker. I also teach knit and crochet locally in Cheshire, as I feel it's really important to pass these skills on. I love to see my students feel so proud and amazed at their achievements.
My dream is to design a huge library of knit and crochet patterns, to write articles for magazines and to publish books. It's a slow process, and really hard work, but I'll get there in the end.
I've authored 5 books so far:
1. "Fun Hats - To Knit, Wear and Love"
2. "Once Upon a Time in crochet"
3. "Twenty to Make, Crocheted Mandalas"
4. "Take Two Collection One - Crochet"
5. "Knit Yourself Calm"
I also present audio podcasts, all about knitting, crocheting and creating.

I hope my patterns inspire you to be creative or to learn a new skill, but be warned - knitting and crochet is addictive!!!

I just saw your pattern Forever Flowerpot on the Stylecraft Facebook post and fell in love with it. Is that pattern available for Purchase? I will be running a non-profit organization next year and would love to make it for all the ladies to carry in during our initiation ceremony.
ReplyDeleteThank you in advance for any and all consideration.
Hi Lynne, I have found you on a google search and love the look of your blog. I'm fairly new to knitting and a friend bought me Fiona Goble's knitted scarves, mitts and socks book. I've started knitting the Fox Scarf and so far so good but I have a feeling that I'm going to need a bit of advice along the way if you're ok to pass it on. My email address is phildebmarkras@aol.com Many Thanks, Deb
